Glyphra reads text from photographs of pages. All of that work happens on your device. There are no accounts, and your images and the text taken from them are never uploaded — not to us and not to anyone else. The app goes online only to handle purchases and your subscription.
Glyphra asks for the camera so you can photograph a page, and for your photo library so you can pick a picture you already took.
The scans you keep — page images, the recognized text, titles, folders and dates — are stored inside the app on your iPhone. They are included in your device backup if you back up your iPhone, and they are deleted when you delete a scan or delete the app.
The translation feature uses Apple's system translation. Language packs are downloaded once by iOS itself, and the translation runs on your device. Glyphra does not send the text to a translation service.
Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details.
To show current prices and offers and to check whether your subscription is active, Glyphra uses Adapty (Adapty Tech Inc.). Adapty receives:
We use this only to run the subscription and to understand which screens work. It is not linked to your name or email, not sold, and not used to track you across other apps or websites. Page images, recognized text, titles and folders are never sent to Adapty.
Glyphra is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
